Sharks shut down Puckhogs
The Sharks kept up their winning ways in Campbell Division postseason play last weekend by defeating the Puckhogs, 5-0, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Earlier last week, the Sharks edged the Stars, 5-4.
Josh Gramajo scored the first two goals of the match, and Scott Jervik the final three. Dillon Makoff got the save behind a 20-save performance.
In other Campbell Division playoff action:
Mad Dogs 7, Rangers 4
The Mad Dogs opened up a 6-2 lead through two periods of play and went on to eliminate the Rangers.
Presley Merrick scored four consecutive goals over the first and second periods to help the Mad Dogs build their four-goal advantage. Slater Miller also scored. Merrick and Miller each also had two assists and Matthew Gomez and Brandon Entwistle each had an assist.
Jake Gealy recorded 11 saves.
Hot Wheels 2, Rollin’ Rebels 1
Preston Yamasaki scored the game-winning goal in an overtime shootout to get the Hot Wheels past the Rollin’ Rebels.
Jackson Wozniak also scored for the Hot Wheels.
Caron Dorain scored off an assist from Joseph Loya for the Rollin’ Rebels.
Vipers 3, Hot Shots 2
Julia Wong scored all three goals for the Vipers in their one-goal win over the Hot Shots.
Wong scored once in each period, his first goal coming off an assist from Danielle Oliver.
Christian Ross had 17 saves.
Robert Muller scored both Hot Shots goals, each set up by Jake Coon.
Trenton Shehan had five saves.
In Adams Division playoff action:
Maple Leafs 4, Kings 0
Maverick Knight registered 12 saves as the Maple Leafs moved on in postseason play.
Will Miller scored three goals and had an assist, and Luke Benavente scored once with an assist.
