Newport Harbor

NEWPORT BEACH — The Sailors won both matches Friday in the Dave Mohs Classic, beating Bishop Montgomery 25-18, 25-17 and Los Osos 25-12, 25-13.

Leading the Sailors with 11 kills, Jamie Heenan was joined by Meagan Munce and Alex Pennywell who both collected 10 kills on the day. Alesha Young had seven digs and 50 assists for Harbor. The Sailors play Torrey Pines tomorrow for first place in their tournament bracket.

Corona del Mar

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings won both of their matches with victories over El Modena (25-20, 25-17) and Mission Viejo (24-26, 25-19, 15-7) in pool play Friday.

Chelsea Dalton led CdM with seven kills in the win over El Modena and Sydney Brombal and Madie Smith had seven kills each against Mission Viejo.

Smith also had 37 total assists.

Sage Hill

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — The Sage Hill girls’ volleyball team beat Villa Park 25-13, 26-24 in their first match of the Dave Mohs Classic Friday.

The Lightning lost to Francis Parker 25-12, 25-15 in the second.

Estancia 15, La Quinta 11

COSTA MESA- Estancia senior goalie Kyle Lux recorded 17 saves in Friday’s win over La Quinta.

Jeff Crosson led the Eagles with six goals.
