Robert William Ritter

After a long and courageous struggle, William Robert Ritter passed away

Friday, August 3, 2007, in his 84th year. Born March 17, 1923, he is

survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Marshall Ritter. He also leaves

behind his two sons Mark and Craig, daughter-in-law Laurel, nine

grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A long time resident of

Newport Beach, Bill was a 1941 graduate of Newport Harbor High School.

He spent his 32-year career working for the Newport Mesa Unified School

District as a teacher, principal and Assistant Superintendent for Personnel. In

his retirement, Bill volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at the SOS

food bank.

We will miss him dearly.
