The only child of Gustave and Pauline Berge, he was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where he met and married the love of his life, Irene Borgmeryer. During their 72 years of marriage, they migrated to California, where Orin worked for many years at Pacific Telephone rising to the top in sales with the Yellow Pages. He became a Realtor and appraiser in the early 1950’s and had offices in Alhambra, San Marino and Corona Del Mar. Berge Company continues today as the oldest real estate brokerage in Alhambra and as active “forensic appraisers†throughout Southern California. Orin also developed and personally operated PSA Public STorage with branches in Alhambra and Rosemead. He was a devout Catholic, an honest Realtor, spouse, dad, grand-dad, great-granddad and friend. He loved roses, books, deep sea fishing, drives to Julian and especially Irene; two sons, three daughters. His daughter, Connie predeceased Orin. There are 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

A private family rosary was held on August 2, 2007 at Pacific View in Corona Del Mar. Donations can be sent to Hoag Hospital in Orin’s name.
