HUNTINGTON BEACH — Newport Harbor High senior Andrew Skjonsby won a playoff to make the top 30 and advance from the CIF Southern Individual Regional Monday at SeaCliff Country Club.

Skjonsby finished 18 holes with a six-over-par 78, matching seven players who were competing for five spots. Skjonsby then parred No. 18 in the one-hole playoff to advance to the CIF individual finals, May 23 at the PGA of Southern California Champions Course in Beaumont.

Corona del Mar High senior David Su and junior teammate Taylor Keddington shot 79, one shot out of the playoff.
