Ocean View clinched the Golden West League championship Monday by routing host Santa Ana, 12-2. The Seahawks have won the last five league titles.
Santa Ana was a game behind Ocean View in the standings heading into Monday’s key contest.
Sean Burleson’s complete-game victory saw the junior limit the Saints to just four hits while striking out five. He backed his own cause, too, going three for four with a home run in the third and two RBI.
Senior Mike Fuentes was a perfect four for four with an RBI, senior Ryan Schulenburg went three for four and drove in four runs, and senior Manny Guzman tripled and doubled.
Edison clubbed five home runs Tuesday — two apiece by junior Kyle Higashioka and senior Tyler Chapman — and whipped rival Fountain Valley, 9-0.

Senior Greg Davis went the distance and allowed just three hits.
The Chargers conclude league play and the regular season today at Fountain Valley. Another victory over the Barons, coupled with a loss by Los Alamitos today at Esperanza, would leave Edison and Los Alamitos tied for the league championship.
In a Sea View League contest played Tuesday night, Huntington went on the road and handed host Woodbridge a 3-0 shutout loss. Senior Justin Pegram recorded the win for the Oilers who wrap up league play today hosting Woodbridge.
