COMMUNITY COMMENTARY:Father’s death leaves local family in dire need
On April 29, Peter Cameron, an energetic entrepreneur with a gregarious personality and zest for life, tragically died.
He left behind three children: a daughter who is in college, a daughter who graduates from Corona del Mar High School next month and a delightful son, Teddy, who is only 8 years old. Peter was a wonderful father and friend who is dearly missed by his family, friends and so very much by his beloved wife and children.
Adding to the sadness of this tragedy, his wife, Marie, and three children have been left with no financial resources or even a home.
Due to the recent closure of the family business, Special Vehicle Concepts of Newport Beach, the Camerons had fallen on very hard times, causing the family to live separately in three locations.
Peter’s death has compounded their financial difficulties, and Marie and her children are in need of financial assistance, as Peter did not have a life insurance policy.
They are staying with generous friends, but the family really needs a home for the four of them to live under one roof, as well as funds for the most fundamental of daily living expenses.
We have established a nonprofit organization through Charitable Alliance Foundation (Tax ID No. 73-0717355) for contributions to the Peter Cameron Memorial Fund.
All donations will benefit Marie Cameron and her children.
If you or your business would like to make a tax-deductible donation to help the Cameron family through this very difficult financial crisis, please make checks payable to Charitable Alliance Foundation, 1100 Cambridge Lane, Newport Beach, CA 92660. Please reference “Peter Cameron Memorial Fund” in the memo section of your check.
Any donations over $250 will receive a receipt from the Charitable Alliance Foundation, which will reference the tax-deductible donation amount.
Thank you so very much for your help.
