The following is from the daily log of the Laguna Beach Police Department from Wednesday, Jan. 10, through Tuesday, Jan. 16.

TUESDAY

  • Bluebird Canyon Drive: At 11:13 p.m., a drug citation was issued after a vehicle search at So. Coast Highway.
  • Main Beach: At 5:10 p.m., a camera was reported stolen.
  • MONDAY

  • Cleo Street: At 4:42 p.m., a Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at Glenneyre Street.
  • Alta Laguna Boulevard: At 3:49 p.m., the city goat herder was called to retrieve a goat that had wandered near the fire road.
  • Jewel Avenue: At 3:37 p.m., five juveniles were apprehended and released into their parents’ custody after a resident reported that juveniles, some on skateboards, pounded on the front door and urinated on the door, on the 31600 block.
  • No. Crescent Bay Beach: At 2:53 p.m., a large, 300-pound sea lion was reported sitting on stairs in the 1300 block.
  • Coast Highway: At 2:07 p.m., loud drumming was reported in the 31300 block.
  • Glenneyre Street: At 10:13 a.m., police were alerted that several businesses had been forcibly broken into in the 1400 block.
  • Glenneyre Street: At 9:40 a.m., a burglary was reported at two shops in the 1400 block.
  • So. Coast Highway: At 7:14 a.m., police were notified of an attempted break-in through the front door of a jeweler in the 1400 block.
  • Coast Highway: At 3:07 a.m., a Mammoth Lakes man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being stopped for erratic driving at Diamond Street.
  • Anita Street: At 12:05 a.m., a resident reported returning from a trip to find the back door broken into on the 500 block.
  • SUNDAY

  • Beach Street: At 8:36 p.m., a man allegedly “dined and dashed,” leaving behind a $77 unpaid bill, at a restaurant in the 200 block.
  • No. Coast Highway: At 8:50 p.m., a Corona del Mar resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI, after being spotting driving onto the shoulder of the road, at Emerald Bay.
  • So. Coast Highway: At 2 p.m., officers took in a bird that was sitting in the middle of the highway at Main Beach.
  • Noria Street: At 12:48 p.m., a resident reported returning home after 10 days to find the back door open, the house ransacked and jewelry and collectibles taken in the 1000 block.
  • Ocean Avenue: At 5:12 a.m., a Maine man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after he was found passed out in his car in the 200 block.
  • Laguna Canyon Road: at 1:26 a.m., a man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, after being observed earlier weaving in lanes, in the 2800 block.
  • SATURDAY

  • Brooks Street: At 11:38 p.m., a Lake Tahoe resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI on the 100 block.
  • No. Coast Highway: At 9:51 p.m., an injured person refused treatment, and one person was arrested on suspicion of DUI, after a two-vehicle collision involving a utility truck at Irvine Cove Drive.
  • Ocean Avenue: At 10:02 p.m., a fight between two men was broken up on the 200 block.
  • Carmelita Street: At 9:38 p.m., a resident returned from leaving for dinner for 1 ½ hours to find the home ransacked on the 1600 block.
  • Coast Highway: At 6:17 p.m., a Mission Viejo woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after locking herself in the bathroom of a hotel on the 1200 block.
  • Shaw’s Cove: At 1:11 p.m., two seals, one dead and one injured, were reported in the 1000 block of the cove.
  • FRIDAY

  • Coast Highway: At 9:31 p.m., a large bonfire, 10 feet tall, consisting of 15-20 crates, was reported out of control in the 31100 block at Aliso Beach.
  • Hillcrest Drive: At 7:27 p.m., a Laguna Beach woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI at Fairview Street.
  • Laguna Canyon Road: At 7:23 p.m., a Santa Ana man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at the 73 Toll Road.
  • Coast Highway: At 5:18 p.m., a person was reported to have charged $2,600 on a stolen credit card at a hotel in the 30800 block.
  • So. Coast Highway: At 2:26 p.m., a man reported being hit by a hotel owner in the 600 block.
  • Miramar Street: At 12:16 p.m., a man with a bow and arrow was reported in the 1000 block.
  • Park Avenue: At 9:33 a.m., paramedics were called to treat a bee sting reaction at the high school on the 600 block.
  • So. Coast Highway: At 9:46 a.m., a large planter was reported in the street on the 400 block.
  • Cleo Street beach: At 8:27 a.m., a sea lion was reported on the beach, but then returned to the water in the 700 block.
  • THURSDAY

  • Cleo Street: At 11:35 p.m., a person was taken to South Coast Medical Center after falling and being knocked out at So. Coast Highway.
  • Terry Road: At 5:31 p.m., a social security card was reported used to obtain a credit card and $3,900 charged, in the 2900 block.
  • Brooks Street: At 4:10 p.m., a laborer hired at the Laguna Beach Day Labor Center reported that an employer failed to make payment for hauling services performed at Pedro Street.
  • Coast Highway: At 1:06 p.m., a grand theft was reported from a basement office at a hospital in the 31800 block.
  • So. Coast Highway: At 12:15 p.m., cash was reported stolen from a home in the 2400 block.
  • Catalina Street: At 3:35 a.m., a Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession after police were called to a disturbance in the 1500 block.
  • Cliff Drive: At 12:21 a.m., a woman was given medical assistance after calling from a pay phone to report being beaten in the 400 block.
  • WEDNESDAY

  • Anita Street: At 9:14 p.m., a fire was reported, and knocked down several hours later by firefighters, at a single-story home in the 500 block.
  • Glenneyre Street: At 8:43 p.m., packages were reported fraudulently charged to a person in the 400 block.
  • Forest Avenue: At 4:48 p.m., a man was reported to have exposed himself at the post office in the 300 block.
  • Irvine Cove Beach: At 4:49 p.m., body parts were reported to have been discovered on the beach, but police could not locate them.
  • Coast Highway: At 3:06 p.m., a 1999 Mercedes, parked at the location since March, was reported stolen at Wesley Drive.
  • Glenneyre Street: At 11:19 a.m., a woman reported that her sister’s purse was stolen from a restaurant on Dec. 16 in the 300 block.
  • Forest Avenue: At 12:42 p.m., a report of credit card fraud totaling $100 was taken at police headquarters on the 500 block.
