Penguins march past Psychos
The Penguins got off to a good start in their Campbell Division match against the HB Psychos and went on to record a 6-3 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
They jumped out to a 3-0 first quarter advantage thanks to goals by Shane Geller, Peter Skowron and Jared Nelson.
Skowron led all scorers with three goals, Nelson finished with two and John Elliot also scored. Assists went to Shane Geller and Cole Geller.
Nikolas St. Onge had 13 saves.
Cole Kennedy’s two goals paced the Psychos on offense. Scott Jervik also scored, Cameron Norman had an assist and Chris Pabitzky finished with 20 saves.

Slashers 6, Breakaways 3
The Slashers led from start to finish in defeating the Breakaways.
Bryce Hed led the way with a pair of goals. Shane Begg had a goal and two assists, Payton Marlow had a goal and assist, Tanner Osterkamp and Ryan Osterkamp both scored, Scott Begg had a pair of assists and Clayton Culhane had an assist.
Tyler Beardshear recorded 10 saves.
Trenton Buyan scored first for the Breakaways followed by consecutive goals by William Brines. Josh Valadez had 14 saves.
Super Troopers 3, You Wish 2
Amanda Vongries scored all three goals and Jackson Wozniak picked up two assists as the Super Troopers held off You Wish.
Chris Hernandez came up with 15 saves to complete the victory. Jake Arnold had a goal and assist, Drew Burack scored once and Ian Gibbons had 15 saves for You Wish.
Ducks 5, Mustangs 3
Jake Gealy scored three goals and the Ducks got off to a quick start in disposing of the Mustangs.
Jonah Mack had a goal and assist, Trevor Stafferi scored once, Justin Ferrall had two assists and Tyler Gealy had 18 saves.
