Sept. 11
* Cypress Drive: A resident reported that she woke up to an
unknown man peering through her window in the 200 block at midnight
on Sept. 7. The screen had been pried off the window and the peeper
drew back her curtain to look inside. No one was injured and no
suspects have been identified.
* Catalina Avenue: Loud roosters were reported in the 31000 block
at 2:32 p.m.
* Aster Street: A resident reported that three young boys were
driving on motor scooters in the street and not halting for stop
signs in the 400 block at 4:51 p.m.
Sept. 12
* South Coast Highway: A truck was burglarized in the 31000
block at 1:27 p.m. The driver-side door was forced open and the
suspect stole a Pioneer stereo valued at $340.
* Rembrandt Drive: A resident reported that a fawn was sick or
possibly injured in front of the house in the 900 block at 9:28 p.m.
* Ocean Avenue: A Laguna Beach transient flagged down an officer
and reported that another transient was drunk and harassing people in
the 200 block at 9:35 p.m. The suspect was reportedly observed
drinking from a beer bottle and was arrested for public intoxication.
Sept. 13
* Zell Drive: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2000 block
at 10:33 p.m. Someone broke into a car that had been parked outside
the victim’s home and stole CDs and a cell phone. Total value $2,174.
* Palmer Place: A resident reported that there was a large lizard
in the bedroom in the 400 block at 3:48 p.m.
* Main Beach: Officers received a call that a transient was
swinging a golf club near the lifeguard tower at 2:49 p.m. The
45-year-old Laguna man was arrested for public intoxication.
* Temple Hills: A resident reported that a three-legged deer
was in the front yard in the 1000 block at 4:11 p.m.
* Agate Street: Firefighters reported that a medical bag had been
stolen while they treated a victim in the 500 block of Laguna Canyon
Road. There had many intoxicated persons on the scene and they
believe one of those people took the bag without consent.
* Park Avenue: A resident reported that an unconscious man had
passed out in the girl’s locker room in the 600 block at 9:49 p.m.
* Ocean Way: Officers were called to a house party in the 1000
block at 11:54 p.m. An 18-year-old Mission Viejo man was cited for
possession of marijuana and a 23-year old Laguna man was arrested for
public intoxication.
Saturday
* South Coast Highway: A 38-year-old Arizona woman was arrested
on a warrant for driving under the influence and resisting arrest
after she had been reported for arguing with her boyfriend in the
1200 block at 12:15 a.m.
* North Coast Highway: A Porsche Boxster rear-ended a Chevy
Suburban headed southbound in the 900 block at 10:06 a.m. The driver
complained of head and neck pain and was cited for unsafe speed. No
other injuries were reported.
* South Coast Highway/Fourth Avenue: An officer pulled over a
driver for a busted tail light near the intersection at 9:30 p.m. The
driver was cited for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and the
passenger was arrested on a warrant out of Los Angeles County for two
charges for possession of a dangerous drug.
Sunday
* North Coast Highway: A resident found an envelope containing a
white powdery substance in the 400 block at 10:50 a.m. It turned out
to be soap.
* South Coast Highway: A verbal argument was reported in the
30000 block at 1:49 p.m. A 38-year-old Trabuco Canyon man had been
driving with his girlfriend and got into a verbal confrontation with
her ex-husband. When police arrived he was arrested on a warrant for
contempt of court.
* South Coast Highway: A resident reported a road rage incident
in the 31000 block at 7:46 p.m. An unknown driver reportedly threw a
rock at the victim’s windshield. No injuries were reported.
Monday
* South Coast Highway: Two Laguna Beach transients were arrested
for assault with a deadly weapon in the 400 block at 11:49 p.m. They
allegedly attacked a former bouncer who had kicked them out of a bar.
The suspects were accused of kicking and punching the victim while he
was on the ground. Both were transported to Orange County Jail in
lieu of $50,000 bail each.
Tuesday
* South Coast Highway: A parking enforcement officer called in a
verbal confrontation between a couple in the 100 block at 3:22 p.m. A
38-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication.
* Cliff Drive: A resident reported a car fire in the 300 block at
4:06 p.m. Firefighters arrived on scene and extinguished it.
* South Coast Highway: Officers received a call about a fight in
a parking lot in the 30000 block at 4:23 p.m. A landlord and his
ex-tenant got into a verbal confrontation. The ex-tenant threw water
in the man’s face. She was cited for battery and he was cited for
assault.
* Club Drive: A 2002 Honda Civic was reported stolen in the 300
block at 3:57 p.m. The car was later recovered within 24 hours of the
report in Santa Ana. No damage was reported.
