Huntington Beach teams now 2-0

Two Huntington Beach Junior All-American Football teams remained

unbeaten on the young 2002 season by picking up victories in the

second weekend of the new campaign.

In Future League Division play, the Huntington Beach Dolphins

improved to 2-0 by shading the Fountain Valley Teal Jaguars, 21-20,

in nonleague action.

In Junior Midget Division play, Huntington Beach ran its record to

2-0 as the Dolphins scored a convincing, 36-0 shutout victory over

the Cerritos Steelers.

The Junior Midget Dolphins opened the season with a 6-0 victory

over the Rowland Heights Raiders on Sept. 7.

Three other Huntington Beach teams saw action last weekend and

each came up on the short end of the scoreboard.

In an AFL-Atlantic Division opener, Huntington Beach’s Clinic

Division Dolphins dropped a 46-6 game to the unbeaten Inglewood Green

Jets (2-0). The loss left Huntington Beach with an overall record of

0-1-1.

In Junior Pee Wee Division play, the Compton White Titans dropped

Huntington Beach to 0-2 on the season by posting a 14-0 nonleague

win.

The Huntington Beach Junior Clinic Dolphins had a bye last

weekend.
