Propelled by a tough second-half defensive effort and a three-goal

game from Kathryn Conner, the Patriots defeated the Shooting Stars.

The Patriots didn’t allow a second-half goal as A.J. Rome (two

goals) and Alexa Cohen (one goal) led the scoring charge for the

Patriots.

Lindsey Zotovich and Brittany Rovzar countered with goals for the

Shooting Stars.

In boys under-10 play:

* Green Gators 5, Patriots 4

The Gators mounted the comeback trail all day, but the Patriots’

Donald Dalton made it difficult for the Gators to break away, scoring

two goals for the Patriots in the loss.

Dalton scored one of his goals along with Hector Marino’s other

net ball when the Patriots were down by two, and Dalton and Patrick

Pearson each scored to tie it, 4-4, before the Gators scored the

clincher.

Christian Ball’s presence in the midfield along with Adam Bronfin

and Kevin Hoffman helped Dalton and Pearson tie the game.

Patriots’ goaltender Jeremy Fox saved many shots, but the Gators

proved too tough in the end.

* Vipers 4, Wolfpack 3

A second-half shutout along with Scott Youngman’s game-winning

goal secured the come-from-behind win for the Vipers.

Blake Thomsen scored three goals and received help offensively

from Billy MacDonald, Tobi Isaksen, Saahm Aresh and Joe Ctvrlik.

Defenders Spencer Bruno, Sam Parks, Connor Morrill and the

goaltending of Justin Ruffalo stymied the Wolfpack in the second

half.
