OCC women win again
FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College women’s water polo team
defeated Orange Empire Conference host Fullerton, 9-3, Wednesday.
OCC, the defending state champion, which is ranked No. 4 in the
state, improved to 5-1 overall, 2-0 in the OEC. Pirate sophomore
goalie Heather Deyden, who has been rehabilitating from sore
shoulder, played and recorded 12 saves. Fellow OCC goalie Courtney
Robertson stopped four shots.
The Pirates’ Erica Nicholson, Sara Natalizo and Evelyn DeTommaso
scored two goals each. Fullerton dropped to 4-4, 0-2.

JC MEN: OCC loses, 14-9
FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College men’s water polo team (3-5,
0-2) came as close as 7-5 at halftime, but lost, 14-9, to Orange
Empire Conference host Fullerton Wednesday.
Fullerton (5-5, 1-1 in the OEC) got three goals apiece from Gabe
Pacheco and Jeff Paquet.
