Lori Maas of Newport Beach and David O’Keefe of Newport Beach
exchanged wedding vows in Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church in
Brentwood on Aug. 10.
The bride, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Maas of Santa Cruz and
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Veatch of Burbank, wore a strapless ivory gown
with crystal beading at the waist, covered buttons down the back and
a cathedral length train.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David J. O’Keefe of Los
Angeles.
The bride’s maid of honor was Lindsay Maas and her matron of honor
was Lisa Macho, both sisters of the bride. Her bridesmaids were
Katherine O’Keefe, Megen O’Keefe, Maire O’Keefe, Carol Mansmann and
Michele Sagona.
The groom’s best man was Matthew O’Keefe and his groomsmen were
Christopher Link, Speed Fry, Adam Ziegler, John Macho, Tim Byrne and
Wayne Neale.
The wedding ceremony was followed by a reception of 250 guests at
the Los Angeles Country Club.
The bride is a second-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School
in Corona del Mar.
The groom is self-employed as a co-owner of Tand B Vending.
The couple is at home in Corona del Mar.
Meehan
Gertie and Dick Meehan of Newport Beach celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary on Aug. 15. and proved that their family saying,
“and they said it wouldn’t last,†was wrong.
Mr. Meehan is a retired Union Bank vice president and currently
volunteers at St. Jude Hospital. Mrs. Meehan is a retired employee
with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The couple has three children, Pat Trimmer and Jay Meehan of
Newport Beach and J. “Mac†Meehan of Laguna Beach. They also have
seven grandchildren.
The couple celebrated by renewing their wedding vows in the St.
John Vianney Chapel on Balboa Island on Aug. 15 and continued their
celebrating with a gathering of family and friends at the Bellagio
Hotel in Las Vegas.
