Crane arrives to symbolize temple

Beginning today, neighbors of a proposed Mormon Temple will have a

visual aid to understanding what it will be like to live with a 124-foot

building and steeple.

At about noon, a crane will go up at 2300 Bonita Canyon Drive, the

site of a proposed 17,500-square-foot temple for the Church of Jesus

Christ of Latter-day Saints.

An aircraft warning light on top of the steeple will stand in for a

lighted statue of the Angel Moroni. Posts in the ground surrounded the

crane will show the location and height of the temple walls.

The crane will be removed at noon Friday.
