WEATHER FORECAST
While the rain waited until late Monday to dampen Newport-Mesa, it
should continue sporadically through the day and evening today. Highs
will be in the low 50s. Lows, meanwhile, should be in the high 30s and
low 40s tonight, so grab an electric blanket and crank it up.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the clouds will depart from us, but highs
and lows will remain on the cool side.

BOATING FORECAST
In the inner waters today, the northwesterly winds will blow 10 to 20
knots, with 1- to 3-foot waves and a 2- to 4-foot swell. Tonight, the
winds will ease to their typical 10 to 15 knots.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow stronger at 15 to 25
knots, with 2- to 4-foot waves and a 6- to 8-foot swell. Not much will
change this evening, though the winds will die down to 10 to 20 knots.
SURF
While the rain will increase the amount of polluted water advisories
today, the waves will be in the waist- to chest-high range. The nearly
7-foot tide at about 9 a.m. today will also make surfing a bit less
desirable. In fact, nothing in the near future looks too great on the
water.
