Boys basketball: Northwood too much for Eagles
COSTA MESA - The Estancia High boys basketball team was outscored
21-1 in the second quarter and never recovered in a 69-45 Pacific Coast
League loss to the visiting Timberwolves Friday.
Senior Fernando Maldonado and junior Zack Novak led the Eagles (11-11,
2-4 in the PCL) with 11 points each, while junior Lewis Bradshaw scored
nine and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Northwood, the PCL’s first-place team, improved to 18-3, 6-0.
The Eagles return to PCL action Wednesday at 7 p.m., playing at Corona
del Mar.
