The Carrot Tops, a boys’ Under-12 Division team out of Region 117,
captured first place in division competition at the AYSO Area K

of Region 517, 3-2.
Tied 2-2 at the end of regulation play, the teams headed into a
10-minute sudden death overtime, where the Carrot Tops’ Nick Torres was
fouled near the Aztec goal. He successfully made his penalty kick to give
his team the one-goal victory.
Lane Stone and Torres, off a Jordan Long assist, scored the Carrot
Tops’ first two goals.
Defensively, the Carrot Tops were paced by midfielders Stephen
Ladsous, Kyle Jenkins, Brian Park and Riley Miller, fullbacks Chris
Kurdziel, Brayden Kent, Jared Mossembekker and Matt Fetters and
goalkeeper Steven Dahlen.
The Carrot Tops are coached by Emmanuel Ladsous, Steve Dahlen and
