Pet of the Week
The Community Animal Network’s New Year’s wish is to receive a donated
building or house it can use temporarily for kitten season, said DiAnna
Pfaff-Martin, the nonprofit’s organizer.
“It would be called CAN Nursery,†she said. “We would care for
abandoned kittens and pregnant mommas that would be rescued from death
row. Any vacant properties just sitting?â€
Kittens and pregnant cats need rescuing and vet medical attention, she
said.
“All vet bills and supplies are paid for by the organization,†she
added. “You supply the love.â€
The network is operating with half of the donations available right
now until the vet debts from last year are paid, she said, noting that
tax-deductible donations will help the group operate successfully.
