The Community Animal Network’s New Year’s wish is to receive a donated

building or house it can use temporarily for kitten season, said DiAnna

Pfaff-Martin, the nonprofit’s organizer.

“It would be called CAN Nursery,� she said. “We would care for

abandoned kittens and pregnant mommas that would be rescued from death

row. Any vacant properties just sitting?�

Kittens and pregnant cats need rescuing and vet medical attention, she

said.

“All vet bills and supplies are paid for by the organization,� she

added. “You supply the love.�

The network is operating with half of the donations available right

now until the vet debts from last year are paid, she said, noting that

tax-deductible donations will help the group operate successfully.
