Mesa Verde Community Inc. is planning three meetings for residents to

learn more about the Costa Mesa City Council and city staff.

The meetings will be at the Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park

Ave., Costa Mesa.

The first, set for 7 p.m. March 21, will include a presentation about

the Santa Ana River Flood Control Project from the program development

department of Orange County.

New council members Karen Robinson and Chris Steel will “headline” the

event by discussing their experiences on the council so far and by

answering questions from residents.

The second meeting, scheduled for April 18, will feature Councilman

Gary Monahan, City Atty, Jerry Scheer and City Manager Allan Roeder.

Former Mayor Joe Erickson will moderate the second meeting.

Mayor Libby Cowan and Vice Mayor Linda Dixon will speak at the third

meeting, scheduled for May 8 and moderated by former Mayor Peter Buffa.
