Girls water polo: CdM eases past Mesa
COSTA MESA - Corona del Mar High sophomore Danielle Carlson scored
six goals to lead the Sea Kings’ girls water polo team to a 16-2 victory
over host Costa Mesa, Wednesday, which closed out Pacific Coast League
play.
Sophomore Christina Hewko finished with four goals for CdM (15-11, 4-1
in league), while senior Lindsey Daley and junior Alexa Miller scored two
each. Sea Kings Daniela DiGiacomo and Brittany Bowlus had one goal each
and goalie Jessica Wells collected five saves.
Junior Candice Carpenter and freshman Jessica Steenhard scored one
goal each for the Mustangs (2-3 in league). Mesa junior Megan Devey
finished with four saves.
