HUNTINGTON BEACH -- Police were searching Wednesday for a man

suspected of committing two burglaries in the buff last week.

Police are seeking Fady Farouk Elbouhy, 22, in connection with early

morning burglaries on Charing Cross Drive and Garrett Circle on Jan. 29.

At 5:25 a.m. that morning, police officers arrived at a home in the

97000 block of Charing Cross Drive, where a naked man allegedly entered a

26-year-old woman’s residence, police said.

The woman awoke while the suspect was in her home, rushed out and

alerted a nearby neighbor of the incident.

About 30 minutes later in the 9800 block of Garrett Circle, four

blocks from the first incident, a 49-year-old resident caught a naked man

attempting to commit a burglary on the second floor of an apartment

building.

The resident fought with the naked burglar, forcing him downstairs

from the second floor where the suspect escaped through a window.

Lt. Luis Ochoa of the Huntington Beach Police Department said evidence

at the scenes linked Elbouhy to the crimes, as well as a third burglary

committed while naked.

Elbouhy is described as Middle Eastern, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall

and weighing 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a mustache.

Police said the suspect also has a tattoo of a star on his right wrist,

and another with the phrase “Hello Stranger†on his right arm. He was

last known living in Huntington Beach.

Anyone with information on Elbouhy’s whereabouts are urged to call the

Police Department at (714) 375-5066.
