A calm, obedient and spayed 8-year-old female sheltie mix is available

for adoption at the Newport Beach Animal Shelter, 2075 Newport Blvd.,

The Animal Network of Orange County, a nonprofit group dedicated to

finding new homes for pets, will host an animal adoption fair from noon

to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in front of Russo’s Pet Store, 1013 Newport

Center Drive, Newport Beach.

This week’s at-risk shelter dog is Lopsey -- a spayed, 1-year-old,

female, shorthair terrier mix. She is described as friendly and gets

along with other dogs.

The Community Animal Network accepts donations for veterinarian bills.
