Women’s basketball: Lions lose, 60-53
SAN DIEGO - The Vanguard University women’s basketball team played
to a tie at halftime, but went on to lose to host Point Loma Nazarene,
60-53, Tuesday in Golden State Athletic Conference action.
Becki Huddle and Laura Lee led the Lions (14-8, 7-6 in conference)
with 11 points each. Vanguard shot 9 of 24 in the first half (37%) and
still drew even with the Crusaders, 27-27.
Corey Zimbelman scored a game-high 17 points for the Crusaders (11-12,
8-5).
