ISSUE: CURFEW LAW CHANGES

Summary: The City Council approved an introduction of an ordinance
that amends the municipal code pertaining to juvenile curfew. It covers
exceptions to the juvenile curfew ordinance in regards to 1st Amendment
activities and for activities that are approved in writing in advance by
a parent or guardian. The council also agreed to make minor language
changes.

Summary: The council authorized the mayor and the city clerk to
execute an agreement between the Army and the city of Huntington Beach
for the Blufftop Park feasibility study on reducing storm drain damage in
Huntington Cliffs.
ISSUE: REPORT REIMBURSEMENT
Vote:6-0-1, with Garofalo absent
Summary: The council approved a reimbursement agreement with Lowe’s
HIW Inc. for professional planning services to prepare a master
environmental-impact report for the closed Rancho View School.
