NEWPORT BEACH

* Newport Center Drive: A night on the town for a group of vandals

meant trespassing at Beacon Bay Auto Wash in the 150 block at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday and marking a wall with graffiti. Damage was estimated at $100.

* Balboa Fun Zone: A woman who left her black leather shoulder bag

unattended in a public restroom for about 15 minutes Saturday shouldn’t

have been surprised when she discovered it missing. The bag and its

contents were valued at $167.

* Via Oporto: A female customer at The Buzz, a restaurant and bar in

the 3400 block, had such a good time Saturday night that she left her

$200 cellular phone behind on the table. Now that’s a tip!

* West Balboa Boulevard: One very macho person trying to impress

others threw a chair through a sliding glass door in the 1800 block

around 3 a.m. Thursday. Damages were $300.

COSTA MESA

* Napoli Way: Not wanting to be the only person in Orange County

without a cellular phone, someone broke into a vehicle in the 2000 block

between 8 a.m. Aug. 8 and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and stole a $100 phone

from the glove box.
