1. Get on the merry-go-round. “At the Circus†will be the theme of a

children’s story time at 10 a.m. today at Borders Books & Music at South

2. Looking or work? Get off the couch. Target Stores is searching for

fast, fun and friendly team members for its new store in Costa Mesa.

Target will hold a job fair from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to

fill about 200 full- and part-time positions for store leaders, floor

sales agents, cashiers and guest services workers. The job fair will be

at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Ave. (714)

3. It’s time for fun in the sun. An afternoon of family fun is planned

at “RASL Dazzle,†a free event sponsored by the Newport Beach Community

Services Department from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Mariners Park and

Vincent Jorgensen Community Center, 2005 Dover Drive, Newport Beach. The

event will showcase programs and services of the city’s recreation, arts

and culture, senior and library services departments. Representatives

will be on hand to explain available services and to register people for

fall programs and events. There will be live entertainment and crafts

available for sale. Free face-painting and a balloon artist will add to

4. It’s Elvis-mania. The LAB Anti-Mall will present its fourth annual

Elvis Festival from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at 2930 Bristol St., Costa

Mesa. The event will feature an Elvis impersonator and performance. In

addition, TJR and the WildCards will perform as the special guest band.
