In October, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Orange County

chapter will host its 17th annual “Bay to Bay Bike Tour†from the Back

Bay to Mission Bay in San Diego.

The bike ride will raise money and awareness to fight the devastating

effects of multiple sclerosis.

Anticipating more than 1,000 riders, the society hopes to raise

$600,000 this year to benefit programs, services and research in Orange

County.

Cyclists will begin their ride Oct. 7 in Newport Beach and finish the

next day in Mission Bay. After an overnight celebration luau in Carlsbad,

riders will get a lift back to Newport Beach in luxurious, full-service

coaches.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is looking for riders and

volunteers.
