Orange Coast College will host a two-part workshop to help teens plan for
independence.
The seminar, titled “Living on Your Own, Planning for Independence,†is
designed to teach teens 16 and older how to handle the transition from
high school to college or joining the work force.
Classes will be held from 10 a.m. to noon July 10 and 12 in Room 101B of
OCC’s business education center.
Alyce Klussman, a former community college administrator and instructor,
will lead the workshop. Her presentation will include goal-setting,
strategizing for gradual independence, transition survival tactics and a
discussion on what role parents play.
Registration fee is $39. OCC is at 2701 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa.
