Football: Banks heading for USC
COSTA MESA - Orange Coast College football’s Jimmie Banks announced
Tuesday he will attend the University of Southern California next fall.
Banks, a 6-foot, 250-pound sophomore fullback, made his decision after
visiting the campus last weekend, citing the university’s strong academic
and athletic programs as reasons for his decisions.
With 4.6 speed in the 40-yard dash, Banks rushed for 663 yards on 116
carries and scored seven touchdowns for the Pirates this year. He also
caught eight passes for 85 yards.
Banks said in addition to blocking duties as a fullback, his role in
the Trojan offense could also include a fair amount of rushes and
receptions.
