CdM falls into third place game

WESTMINSTER - Corona del Mar High’s boys basketball team lost its

first game of the year to Lakewood, 61-55, in the La Quinta Tournament.

Brooks Morris hit four three-pointers and scored 20 points, and Alec

Hanson had three three-pointers and 17 points for CdM (4-1). But Lakewood scored 22 points in the third quarter to take the lead for good.

The Sea Kings will face Calvary Chapel for third place today, at 6 p.m.
