Pirates win, again

VICTORVILLE - Orange Coast College improved to 6-1 in women’s

basketball Saturday following a 76-48 decision over host Victor Valley.

Erin Tomlinson led the way for Mike Thornton’s team, with 18 points

and eight rebounds.

“We played some good defense,” noted Thornton, whose team helped

created 25 Victor Valley turnovers and responded with a 41-18 second-half edge to win with ease.

Victor Valley fell to 1-5.
