MILLENNIUM MOMENT

Her name isn’t as immediately recognizable as that of John Wayne, but

Claire Trevor was Wayne’s co-star in “Stagecoach.” She graced movies like

“Murder, My Sweet,” “Key Largo” and “Johnny Angel” before retiring to

Newport Beach with her husband, producer Milton Bren.

Trevor said she was initially attracted to the area by Dick Richard’s

market, where she would come shopping with her husband.

Credits of her post-cinematic life include acting as campaign chairman

for the Orange County Arthritis Foundation and the March of Dimes.
