Clinic Jaguars have plenty to cheer about

The Fountain Valley Clinic Jaguar cheer team garnered a first-place

trophy Saturday at the 1999 JAMZ Youth Cheerleading Competition at Magic

Mountain in Valencia.

The Jag squad, made up of girls ages 7-10, placed first in the Youth 11

Performance Cheer category that included teams featuring performers 12

years of age and under.

The trophy triumph earned the Fountain Valley squad a spot in the

upcoming JAMZ National Championships, which will be held in Las Vegas

Feb. 19-21, 2000.

Members of the Fountain Valley Clinic Jaguar cheer team include Vanessa

Beyers, Hilary Chace, Amber Coleman, Emily Delicce, Amanda Empting,

Merisa Gallegos, Lindsay James, Melissa LaPlante, Rachel McMillen, Kelley

O’Toole, Jessica Pokorski, Rachael Sutton, Coach Lisa Empting, and

trainers Julie Dierenfield and Whitney Alexander.
