AYSO Region 57: Blue Bombers win, tie

NEWPORT BEACH - The Blue Bombers tied the Green Fluffy Bunnies,

3-3, before knocking off the Mystic Hawks, 6-1, in AYSO Region 57

Division 5 boys soccer action.

In their battle with the Green Fluffy Bunnies, goals were scored by

Nick Freeman, Peter Yould and Mitchell Willams.

Nick Freeman had an assist for the Blue Bombers, with defensive

support coming from Parker Rhodes, Reed Williams, Evan Lividas and Andrew

Halladay.

In the win over the Mystic Hawks, Yould and Reed Williams each had two

goals with Freeman and Rhodes each adding a solo goal of their own.

Boys Division 4:

Fireballs 1, The Blaze 1 - After Jeff Tate scored on a breakaway goal

for The Blaze, Braden Ross scored the tying goal for the Fireballs.

Nick Scarpa, Bixby Halford, Reid Vitarelli, Phillip Bannan and Mike

Kendrick led the defense for The Blaze.

On defense for the Fireballs, Alex Johnston, Spencer Brown and Michael

Barrack led the charge.

Newport United 1, After Shocks 1 - After Ben Anshutz scored the

opening goal of the game for the After Shocks, Mike Gratzinger tied the

game for the Newport United.

The United was led defensively by Ryan Pawell, Marc Roudanez and

Carson Carpenter, while Steven Hillgren Clay Russel and Jack Tyson made

several defensive stops for the After Shocks.

Girls Division 4:

Cherry Bombs 3, Millennium Babes 0 - Bailey Gardner led the offensive

charge for the Cherry Bombs, while Blair Constantinou, Katie Kubas and

Kate Murphy were solid on defense.

Playing well for the Babes were Rachel Hyler, Jennifer Entin and

Maggie Donnelly.

Bubble Trouble 4, USA Babes 3 - Ashley Katz led the Bubble Trouble on

offense with two goals, while Katie and Kelly McKitterick each had an

additional goal.

Also helping the Bubble Trouble to victory was the strong play of

Ashley Chandler, Katie Schulte, Samantha Wai, Jackie Reynolds, Emily

Tsai, Taylor Harkins, Ann Klunder and Nassim Alisobhani.

Galaxy Girls vs. the Poison Ivy - For the Galaxy Girls, the offense

was led by Emily Almaraz, Taylor Beachcamp, Caitlyn Czisny, Amanda

Knuppel, Katie Wade and Jae Morosin.

Tough on defense for the Galaxy Girls were Ashley Carnahan, Caroline

Claure, Jessica Werthiem, Kelly McElroy, Kara Jones, Kelly Nelson and

Rachel Haber.

Leading the way for Poison Ivy were Ashley Fischer, Sara Sweeny, Lacey

Schmidt and Allison Holzmann.

Boys Division 6:

For the Extreme Green against the Purple Surfers, solid play was

turned in by Kyle Canale, Sean Okita, Brent Gray, Gianni Giannulli, Peter

Weidner, Jake Pellegrini, Austin Allen and Benny Townsend ... the Purple

Surfers were led by Jack Gerdau, Chris Burke, Collin Krahe, Derek

Spreitzer, Aaron Varasteh, Chris Seagren, Luke Christiano and Paul

Boyer-Chammard.

The Burners, in their matchup with the Terminators, Mikey Moore,

Sebastien Welch and Peter Hamamji led the offense, while Edward Burgner,

Jamie McKiernan, Kyle Rodenbo, Cameron Holmes, Pierce Stemler and Ryan

Kontra led the defensive charge ... Solid play was turned in for the

Terminators were led by Bret Klein Tyler Norwood, Eric Sandling and Dylan

Salisbury.
