Golf: Pelican Hill the site of USC golf tourney
NEWPORT BEACH - The University of Southern California School of
Medicine will hold its inaugural golf tournament Sept. 29 at the Pelican
Hill Golf Club.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will go directly toward providing
scholarships for qualified students who, without financial assistance,
may not be able to pursue careers in the field of medicine.
The School of Medicine will honor two community members for their years
of service and contributions.
Daniel D. (Ron) Lane, CEO of Lane/Kuhn Pacific, Inc. in Newport Beach has
been a member of the USC Board of Trustees since 1987. Gavin S. Herbert,
chairman of Allergan Inc. in Irvine, has been selected as a honoree of
the golf tournament for his lifetime service to USC and the School of
Medicine.
The golf tournament is open to the public. For information, contact
tournament coordinator Danielle Scott at (714) 557-5100, ext. 15.
