Crowd walks in Costa Mesa to raise money for March of Dimes

Thousands of walkers slipped on their sneakers for a cause in Costa Mesa on Saturday during the March for Babies.

The fundraising 5K at the OC Fair & Event Center benefits the March of Dimes, a nonprofit that supports research and programs designed to improve the health of mothers and their babies.

The march’s goal was to raise $425,000, according to organizers.
