Fireworks test planned for Monday night over O.C. fairgrounds

The OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa plans to conduct a fireworks test Monday night.

Six to eight shots are to be set off above the Pacific Amphitheatre beginning at 7 p.m. to test for a potential July 4 event at the fairgrounds, according to the city of Costa Mesa.

The test is expected to last about 15 minutes.

OC Fair officials asked that people not try to enter the fairgrounds property to view the test.
