A fur-fect day for dogs at Spring Bark Bash in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa dogs had their day Saturday during the city’s Spring Bark Bash.

The canine-centric event at the Costa Mesa Bark Park included local pet vendors, information, raffle prizes and giveaways.

Animal rescue groups also were on hand with dogs available for adoption.

The real showstopper, though, was a costume contest in which a passel of pups strutted their stuff for prizes in categories including best homemade, most original, best pet and owner duo, cutest and best in show.
