Sabrina Jane Witzel English

1975 to 2010

Our precious Sabrina went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010.

Sabrina was born October 13, 1975, in Newport Beach. She attended Corona del Mar High School, where she excelled in tennis. While in high school, she was a member of Assisteens and made her debut with the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa in 1994. She graduated from California State University at Long Beach and went on to pursue a career in fashion design with Roxy.

Sabrina loved sailing and sailed all her life; she taught junior sailing at Balboa Yacht Club where she continued to be involved in the Club’s activities. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and was active in the church throughout her school years.

She is survived by her parents, Marilyn and Kenneth Witzel, sister and brother-in-law, Kendra and Greg Coleman, and her many aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her dogs, Kimo and Kaiya.

Services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, October 26th at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Balboa Yacht Club Maritime Sciences and Seamanship Foundation (MSSF) in the name of Sabrina Witzel English for the Junior Sailing Program.
