License your dog at free clinic
A free dog licensing clinic is scheduled for Friday and Saturday for those who are registering their dogs late or for the first time, according to police.
Rabies vaccination and microchip services will also be available, with microchipping being provided for a fee of $26, about half the normal price, according to Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Phil Myers.
In a partnership between the Orange County Humane Society and Costa Mesa Animal Control, the clinics are set for the greenbelt between City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, and the adjacent Police Department, according to a police news release.
Among the benefits of pet licensing highlighted by police were the ease with which pets and their owners can be more easily reunited.
Police also pointed out that licensed dogs must be vaccinated against rabies.
The clinic is scheduled for 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. For further information on the clinic, contact Myers at (714) 754-5074.
