Richard Frederick Brace died, Monday, July 4, 2011 in Littlerock, California at the age of 82, after a long illness. He was born in San Francisco on June 25, 1929, and grew up in Costa Mesa and Anaheim.
He ran track and played football at Newport Harbor High School and Fullerton Junior College. He served as a flight engineer on a B-29 crew in the Korean War and then worked for Pacific Telephone Company and later was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways Trucking Company.
He is survived by his wife, Carol. He has three children by his first marriage, Gary, Juli and Roger, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the COPD Foundation.
