Chili and Fun

Newport-Mesa Fundraiser
Taco Rosa Newport Beach, 2632 San Miguel Road, will host a fundraiser to support the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation at 3 p.m. For a $30 donation, one can watch Taco Rosa’s founder Ivan Calderon put on a carnitas cooking demonstration, taste tequila, have dinner, dessert and other treats. ‘Peace Unveiled’

Lemon Drop Dance Club
Newport Beach-based Lemon Drop Club, which hosts singles parties in Orange County geared for adults around the age of 40 and up, will have its Halloween-themed singles party from 7 to midnight at the Newport Beach Elks Lodge Ballroom, 3456 Via Oporto, Newport Beach. OCC Dance
The Faculty DanceConcert, staged by the Orange Coast College Dance Department, is at 8 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. World dancer Sabuha Shahnaz will perform. Faculty members and advanced student dancers from OCC, UC Irvine, Cal State Long Beach and Chapman University also take part in the dance concert. Tickets cost $15 at the door.

Free Flu Shots
