Some parks closed for maintenance

Several Laguna Beach parks will close periodically in the next two months as crews perform annual maintenance.
This week, the city’s contractor aerated and seeded Riddle Field, which will be closed through Jan. 31. Three other city parks will receive similar treatment.
Alta Laguna Park will be closed for two weeks beginning Thursday, while maintenance at Bluebird Park will begin Monday and last 10 days. Moulton Meadows Park will close from Dec. 21 through Jan. 4.
The city budgeted about $30,000 for the work, assistant city engineer Mark Trestik wrote in an email.
