A star-studded red carpet, a private showing of fine art and a concert featuring Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Melissa Manchester drew nearly 3,000 fans and supporters to the Celebrity Benefit Concert and Pageant at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts on Saturday.
Celebrity guests, including Joe Mantegna, Joely Fisher and Jane Seymour, walked the red carpet and signed autographs before heading into the Irvine Bowl to watch a special showing of the Pageant of the Masters. This year’s theme for the living pictures was “The Pursuit of Happiness.”
Academy Award-winner Mira Sorvino hosted the performance and oversaw the raffle drawing, which featured a 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata GT and a trip to Hawaii as prizes.
The gala event grossed about $270,000, which will aid future arts programming and improvements to the grounds.
