Readers React: Who’s being disingenuous on immigration reform?

To the editor: Jonah Goldberg writes that President Obama deceived the public on immigration because he really wanted to pander to Latinos and enrage Republicans. Goldberg writes, “King Obama’s edict is a mess, which may explain why Latinos are underwhelmed by it.” (“Obama’s immigration goal: enrage Republicans,” Op-Ed, Nov. 24)
Another article regarding Latino support for Obama’s plan quotes a pollster as saying, “This is the highest and the most unified we have ever found Latino public opinion.”
Who, exactly, is trying to deceive the public?
