This is Halloween, this is Halloween! Well, in a couple of weeks, anyway. Which means amateurs and pros, alike, will start plotting, carving and sculpting jack-o’-lanterns.

The Chicago Botanic Garden has again paired with New York City-based Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns to bring a version of the event to the Windy City. Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanterns runs 6:30-10:30 p.m. Oct. 24-28.
