October might be best known for Halloween, but at Old World in Huntington Beach, it’s just about a good time, scariness not included.

The European-style commercial village at 7561 Center Ave. is hosting its 39th annual celebration of the German festival Oktoberfest through Nov. 1.

The party features authentic German food, German beers and German bands, along with games, competitions and more.
