Student dies after being stabbed at Cleveland High, LAPD says
A student who was stabbed at Cleveland High School in Reseda has died, police said Wednesday night.
The student, believed to be 18, was involved in a fight with two other people and was stabbed on campus, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“He passed away from his injuries,†Officer Christopher No told The Times.
The stabbing was reported shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday at the campus at 8140 Vanalden Ave., police said. Two suspects were seen fleeing the area. They were described as being between 18 and 20, police said.
The student was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name was not released.
Investigators on Wednesday night were tracking down leads. They had not determined whether the attackers were students at the school, according to the LAPD.
“We’re still looking for the suspects,†No said.
