‘Suge’ Knight pleads not guilty to stealing photographer’s camera
Rap mogul Marion “Suge†Knight pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges that he and comedian Micah “Katt†Williams stole a photographer’s camera outside a Beverly Hills film and TV studio.
Knight appeared in court to enter his not guilty plea and was immediately taken into custody on $500,000 bail, said Jane Robison, a district attorney’s office spokeswoman.
Williams was scheduled to appear in court Dec. 24, Robison said.

Nov. 6, 1:22 p.m.: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated that Williams had been originally scheduled to appear in court before Dec. 24.

Knight’s courtroom appearance comes days after he slipped and fell in his jail cell in Las Vegas. He was arrested in Las Vegas in connection with the Beverly Hills incident.
Knight’s fall sent him to the hospital, where doctors discovered he had a blood clot close to his lungs.
Knight and Williams were each charged last month with one count of robbery related to the Sept. 5 incident.
Prosecutors said Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, and Williams stole an independent celebrity photographer’s camera.
They allegedly chased her down outside the studio and “forcibly†grabbed her camera, Beverly Hills police Lt. Max Subin said.
When police arrived at the scene, Knight and Williams were gone.
Because Knight was previously convicted for assault with a deadly weapon, he could face 30 years to life in prison if convicted.
Williams faces a maximum sentence of seven years in custody.
